Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz ziti pasta
  • 2 cups cooked chicken
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.5 cup chopped onion
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook ziti until just tender, drain well.
  3. Heat olive oil, cook onion until soft, add garlic briefly.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce, cream, salt, pepper, and seasoning; simmer 3 minutes.
  5. Combine pasta, chicken, ricotta, half the cheeses, and sauce in a bowl.
  6. Spread mixture into baking dish and top with remaining cheeses.
  7. Bake uncovered for 30 to 35 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden.
  8. Rest 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
