Ingredients
  

  • 2.5 cups cooked chicken breast
  • 1 cup carrots
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup mushrooms
  • 1 small onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 cups cooked pasta shells
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.75 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 0.75 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Sauté onion, garlic, carrots, and mushrooms until softened.
  3. Add chicken broth and heavy cream and simmer briefly.
  4. Season with thyme, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stir in chicken, peas, pasta, and cheese until coated.
  6. Transfer mixture to baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top.
  8. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until golden and bubbling.
  9. Cool completely if freezing or rest before serving.
