Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast
  • 2 cups uncooked pasta
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook pasta in salted water until slightly firm, then drain well.
  3. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat and stir in flour, cooking until smooth.
  4. Slowly whisk in milk and cook until thick and creamy.
  5. Stir in salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  6. In a large bowl, combine chicken, pasta, vegetables, and cheese.
  7. Pour sauce over mixture and stir until evenly coated.
  8. Spread mixture into baking dish and top with breadcrumbs.
  9. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  10. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
