Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound fresh green beans trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Method
 

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and blanch green beans for 3–4 minutes until bright green. Transfer immediately to ice water to stop cooking.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a 10-inch skillet over medium heat until melted.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30–45 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Drain green beans and add to skillet. Cook for 4–5 minutes, tossing until heated through.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Toss and serve warm.
